The Legend of Korra
The official website for The Legend of Korra is now available on Nick.com.

Aside from the new TV ad and a link to the Nick messageboard, the official website for Legend of Korra gives us a bit of information about Republic City, telling us that it is a "steampunk paradise" and "everything that Avatar Aang and Fire Lord Zuko fought for when they ended the Hundred Year War". However, all is not sunshine and rainbows in Republic City, and once Korra arrives there she encounters "criminal bending gangs", an "anti-bending revolution", and "a group of Chi-blockers led by the charismatic and mysterious Amon". Sounds like Korra will have a lot of work to do in the big city!

The site also gives us short little bio blurbs and pictures for some of the characters -- Korra, Mako, Bolin, Tenzin, and Chief Lin Beifong [UPDATE: Amon, Naga and Pabu have also been added].

TLOK Characters
From these we learn that Korra is 17 years old; brothers Mako (the older brother, "a firebender with a serious side") and Bolin (an earthbender who "always has a smile on his face and a lady on his arm") grew up in the streets; Tenzin and his wife Pema have three children: Jinora, Ikki, and Meelo; Chief Lin Beifong is a metal- and earthbender and does not appreciate Korra's reckless ways; Amon is the leader of the anti-bending revolution but little is known about him because the mask he wears conceals his identity; Naga is the first polar bear-dog to be tamed in the Southern Water Tribe; and Pabu the fire ferret is "Bolin's partner in crime while playing practical jokes on Mako".
