Avatar: The Legend of Korra
UPDATE 1: It appears that the 'Avatar: The Legend of Korra" title wasn't actually confirmed. The Korra Nation promotion materials have the title of the show as The Last Airbender: Legend of Korra. The series is still set to premiere in 2012 though.

UPDATE 2: The official website for the show has a new logo image that reads The Legend of Korra. Is this the new official title for the show? We're not sure...

UPDATE 3: It appears we now have confirmation that the title of the show is indeed The Legend of Korra.

For the last few months, two of the most debated questions in the Avatar fandom have been "When is Korra going to air, 2012 or 2013?" and "What is the actual title of the series, 'Avatar: Legend of Korra' or 'The Last Airbender: Legend of Korra'?". And now we finally know the answers to both of those questions!

A new commercial, seen on Nickelodeon and posted online by Youtube user Kimiko126, shows quick previews of the new animated shows that will premiere on Nickelodeon in 2012. At around 18 seconds into the commercial, we can see the title "Avatar: The Legend of Korra" (as seen here in the cropped screenshot on the right), followed by a few seconds of awesomeness as we are shown some background art for Republic City and an animatic of Korra being attacked by a group of anti-bending Equalists, while a voice-over states "The Avatar has recently arrived at Republic City". Later on, at the one minute mark, we can see the masked leader of the Equalists.

So now we know -- the series is called Avatar: The Legend of Korra and it will premiere sometime in 2012.

Go here to watch the whole commercial, and feel free to come by this thread in our forum to discuss everything about it.
