Edit on 02 Feb 2020: We just learned that the forum will come down entirely on 5th Feb 2020 due to circumstances beyond our control. It was programmed in 2006 using techniques devised in 2003 or earlier. These techniques are no longer supported when Dreamhost upgrades to PHP 7 on Wednesday (5th Feb 2020). Hence, we will be totally closing down the forums. It's been a great run. Thanks everyone for your support over the years!

Dear all, it has been almost 14 years since AvatarSpirit.Net has been set up as a space for fans to discuss about Avatar: The Last Airbender, its sequel, The Legend of Korra, along with the accompanying comics.

Given the lower level of forum activity and the fact that there won't be a third Avatar series, we have elected to close the forum. Don't worry, the forum and the mainsite won't disappear, everything will just be read-only which will be what you currently see when you access the forum without logging in at all. It also means members won't be able to log in either so member-only boards will not be visible after the forum closes.

Of course, we will give some time for people to archive any posts before we close the forum. We won't be accepting any offers to take over the reins and we won't be endorsing any other sites that are set up to continue discussing the show. You are free to find your own venue to continue talking about ATLA & TLOK.

This will be the timeline for closing down the forum:
- No new account sign ups starting from now.
- Three weeks will be given for everyone to archive their posts, if they wish to do so.
- Forum will be closed to member log-ins from Sunday, Feb 2 2020 06:30am (PST) and the forum will henceforth become read-only. You may use timezone converter if you're unsure what time the forum closes in your timezone.

Thank you all for your support and the wonderful memories made through your in-depth and sometimes wacky discussions.
